ACU-CARE AND OUR MEMBERS SHARE A GOAL TO INTRODUCE TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE INTO TODAY’S MANAGED CARE ENVIRONMENT

Founded in 1994 to connect the Acupuncturist to Patients and Payors.  Acu-Care is a network of Licensed and Credentialed acupuncturists who share the goal of introducing Traditional Chinese Medicine into today’s managed care environment. Created by acupuncturist for acupuncturists in California, our knowledge of the profession and dedication to consistently high standards for both business management and health care practices ensures a membership of highly qualified Licensed providers.

For health care consumers, Acu-Care has helped open the doors to a broader range of health management options, and is working to keep them affordable. By negotiating with health insurance companies to accept and incorporate acupuncture into their coverage plans, more Americans are gaining the benefits of complementary therapies like acupuncture.

By negotiating with the insurance carrier’s reimbursement rates accepted by our members, and not receiving a percentage of each claim, we help the consumer maintain low yearly deductible and save on their out-of-pocket costs.

For health care insurers…

… AcuCare conducts a credentialing program that ensures the quality and legitimacy of our membership.  This includes verification of all applicable licenses, certificates and permits, along with physical inspection of offices and treatment spaces to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and security.  This, along with consistently high audit scores, has helped AcuCare establish a solid reputation in the managed care industry.  Our members have become a primary resource for many well-respected health insurance providers.
